Andromeda is advancing a High Purity Alumina (HPA) Project through leveraging our proprietary low-carbon processing technology and using premium refined Great White kaolin product as a feedstock.

The HPA Scoping Study confirms the potential for Andromeda to become a leading global producer of 4N HPA (99.99% purity), a critical mineral used in advanced technologies including LED lighting, lithium-ion batteries, and synthetic sapphire glass.

: 10,000 tonnes per annum of 4N HPA by year 4.

: Market-leading capital intensity and operating cost per tonne of HPA produced.

: Novel flowsheet validated to produce 99.9985% pure HPA.

: Modelled carbon emissions significantly lower than traditional aluminium alkoxide processes.

: Facility planned for South Australia, with Whyalla and northern Adelaide under consideration.

The HPA Project is underpinned by Andromeda’s wholly owned Great White Project, which will provide high-grade, low-impurity refined kaolin products as feedstock.

With growing global demand and supply shortfalls forecast, Andromeda’s HPA Project provides an opportunity for Andromeda to deliver sustainable, high-margin products into critical mineral supply chains.

Andromeda’s proprietary process enables the production of multiple grades and forms of HPA, that can be tailored to meet diverse market needs:

 from refined Great White kaolin product as feedstock.

 Process design supports production of 3N and 5N HPA, with further testing required to validate 5N and 6N capabilities.

 Capable of producing alpha, gamma, beta, and amorphous HPA, each suited to specific applications such as LEDs, semiconductors, coatings, and catalysts.

 Offers unique properties for thin-film coatings, corrosion protection, capacitors, luminescent materials, and advanced ceramics.

 Silicate-rich residue has the potential to be refined into amorphous silica, with applications in rubber, agriculture, and construction.

The flexibility of the proprietary HPA process positions Andromeda to serve multiple industries, adapt to customer specifications, and explore new revenue streams beyond traditional HPA markets.
